A New Year With Nick Nice and Try-City Ent @ The Admiral's Marina!!

The Try-City Tryfecta Project is Gettin' Close!
What's good fans and fam alike? Just wanted to check in with y'all to let you know the progress of the upcoming Try-City compilation LP. Myself, my capo, JK Tha Cap'n, and our new songstress, Alexandrea Scarchilli, have been frequenting the lab over the past couple months carefully selecting beats, diggin pencils into countless pages of looseleaf, and pouring our hearts out to a microphone. We've seen the weather change, we've watched different visitors come and go, we've each had ups and downs with our moods....but the one thing that has remained consistent is our FOCUS! I'm sure a lot of you are aware, it's not easy to get three different people, with three totally different personalities, backgrounds, and responsibilities all on the same page, but by the graces of God, and our determination, we've managed come together and let our art take precedence.
At this stage of the game, we're lookin' at an 18 track LP (including and intro and outro). We've recorded roughly 12 tracks, and have the majority of the remainders already written and ready to bring to life. As excited I am with the progress, it's kind of a bitter-sweet thought because that means it's getting close to MIXING and MASTERING TIME!!! F*#@K me. Lol. I'm hoping I can enlist the amazing talent of Dr. Khil, who did a great job with the finishing touches to Nice Guys Finish Last., to get his hands dirty with some of the post production work...but, shhh, don't tell him yet. This is my first time really getting into the engineering aspect of numerous artists...especially including a female vocalist. Don't get me wrong though, I'm looking forward to learning all I can about doing so. Practive makes perfect! But it will be a challenge.
So, ultimately, that's what I've got for the update thus far. We're making good headway, and are definitely on pace for an early first quarter 2012 release. I'm diggin' the sound, and I honestly believe it's exactly what most of you have been looking for. We've also got some good footage of most of our studio sessions, and I plan to have a lil' montage to get to you before the album release. Try-City Ent. Update
What's good, Try-City fans and fam alike?! It's your boy, Nick Nice, droppin' by to give y'all a little look into what's comin' in the near future for Try-City Entertainment. I've posted quite a few songs, videos, flyers, etc, but it's been a minute since I've just talked to y'all.
First off, I want to say that we appreciate all of the support y'all have shown over the years. Without a solid fan base of supporters, we wouldn't have been able to do what we've done thus far. Our talent is only as good as the platform you provide us to showcase it. So again, thank you.
Gettin' down to business, I'm gonna breakdown a quick outline of what we have goin' on currently, and will have goin' on over the next few months.
- Right now, Nick Nice's newest album, Nice Guys Finish Last, is available for FREE download HERE! Featuring production from Melvin Junko, Cose MP, The Vinylcologist, Dr. Khil, Sime Gezus, Kloud 9ine, and more. Also including features from Craft, GM, JK Tha Cap'n, Killah Trakz, and more.
- By November, Try-City artist, JK Tha Cap'n, will have a digital EP release comin at ya to give y'all a little taste of what this kids got to offer. Get familiar with his work over at www.jkthacapn.bandcamp.com , where his first solo mixtape, Jurassic Park is currently available for FREE DOWNLOAD.
- Also coming by November, Try-City's new song bird, Alexandrea Scarchilli will be releasing a "covers" EP, featuring her take on some of music's biggest hits from yesterday to today. With this, she will showcase her versatility and give you a chance to hear her amazing voice, as well as gear her up for recording her debut solo LP, with hopes of an early 2012 release. Get familiar with some of her work HERE and HERE .
- By December, the Try-City Tryfecta ; Nick Nice, JK Tha Cap'n, and Alexandrea Scarchilli, will be releasing a collaborative compilation effort featuring all original production and songs that will be sure to etch a permanent spot in this game for Try-City Entertainment as a whole.
Along with all these, I'm sure you will see some other scattered projects before the year is out, including some crossover projecs with fellow 518 team, Glass Ceiling Effect. Winning
Another lil' video I was messin' around with is for my track "Winning", off the Melvin Junko album "Junk Mail". The track was recorded and released in 2010, well before any of the Charlie Sheen insanity jumped off. But given the epicly disasterous events, I figured I might as well capitalize on it. Lol. Let's Goooo!!
I'm no blogger, that's for damn sure. I'm barely keeping up with the technology as it grows. But I do have a quality product, an unbelievably talented team of friends/family, and a drive pretty much unmatched to get both of these things to you in any way possible. The name is Nick Nice. I'm a Hip-Hop fan and growing artist from upstate (518) New York who is holdin' it down for my Try-City Entertainment and Glass Ceiling Effect teams. With the state of the music industry being what it is, I've decided to join the ranks and introduce this "blog" to keep all my/our fans updated on releases, news, videos, shows, and all other info as quickly as my laptop can load up. I apologize in advance for my guaranteed unprofessionalism throughout the life of this site..but I spin records - not world wide webs. But hopefully all who vist will get caught up in my attempt. Make sure to tune in regularly and add your email to the list to join so you don't miss anything crucial...which excludes nothing!
