We Still Up In Here!!

I realize it's been inexcusably long since you've heard from any of the Try-City team, and for the actual fans, we do deeply apologize. As any of you can understand, life tends to happen and we've all experinced some major events in our personal lives over the past year and it was important that our focus remained with them. New houses, locations, vehicles, relationships, family, and friends have all needed our attention, and although we've always vowed to keep our art and passion at the forefront, the ability to write, record, engineer, and share has taken an unfortunate backseat. But, I promise that doesn't mean that the music has been forgotten. If nothing else, the events of the past year have only provided a ton of inspiration for each of us and is guaranteed to help that ink flow whenever the pen meeets that paper. But one thing for sure, Try-City music will make its way back into your playlists very soon!

Great news is, Try-City Capo, JK tha Cap'n, is extremely close to wrapping up his debut album,
"Longshot"! This project is guaranteed to smash open doors for the ever-husltin' artist once the world gets a taste. Whether 518, NYC, or ATL...no artist is safe. So eat well while you can! In addition, there will be a warm up project preceeding the album in the form of the "Take It How Ya Wanna EP". The prelude is an opportunity for the fans to get a taste of how JK has grown as an artist, and developed into the monster you will witness on "Longshot". "TIHYW" will feature a few tracks recorded early in his career, as well as some of the early submissions for "Longshot" that, over time, have become a little out of place as the album developed. But don't let "out of place" fool you...they are nothing short of bangers, and are present on the EP because they need to be heard!

For anyone still checkin for us and ridin' with us, we truly appreciate the patience and understanding. We know that it's a fast moving game these days and people are forgotten about quicker than they are introduced. We can only hope that our catalogue has managed to stand the test of time and remain relevant during this little hiatus. We like to think that we make quality product that will surpass the mass produced, fast food "McHits" that the world is fed daily. If you feel the same way, then we will soon have some more slow cooked, marinated, savory grub for you to sink your teeth into!

As always, thanks for your continued support and holla at cha boy!

- Nick Nice
